School Closure Notice

Please check this website regularly for updates.

 

  Parents should follow the guidance below when making the decision as to whether to bring their children to school.  This would help in ensuring the telephone line does not become blocked.

• check the Kirklees website where you will find a list of schools which are closed -  http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/schoolclosures
• listen to the following radio stations where closures will be announced
• Radio Aire & Magic 828
• Radio Leeds
• Pennine FM (Home FM)
• Pulse/Classic Gold
• Real Radio
• Galaxy 105

If the school's name is not there, or has not been announced, this means that the school is open.

It is therefore the responsibility of the parent to make the decision, bearing in mind health and safety issues as to whether you can get your child here, and collect him or her later, without risking your safety.

Should you make the decision not to bring your child to school, please ring the school office after 9am to let us know.

On some occasions it may be necessary to close the school later in the day.  Should this decision be taken, we would contact you to come and collect your child as soon as possible.  It is therefore very important that you ensure we have up-to-date contact numbers for our parents and carers.  Please let Mrs. Roberts know if you have recently changed your phone number.
