Clapping Rhymes

Class 1 have been learning some of the old clapping rhythms and rhymes. The children have been enjoying learning the rhymes and working with a partner or in small groups clapping together to the beat. We have started with the old favourite “A sailor went to sea sea sea…”

Not only are these lots of fun to learn but they have a fantastic neurological benefits as the movements the children use with their hands moving across the body create electrical pulses in the brain which help to connect the two hemispheres.
